The 9. Rising Stars Grand Prix 2024

International Music Competition Berlin

All competitors can choose a free program of any classical music period (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary etc.), folk/traditional music, jazz, musical. The works have to be performed from memory, except the music for ensembles (duo to octet with or without piano). The time limits are approximate. So recordings are admitted, which are a little bit longer or shorter. The final selection of winners will be based solely on the video recordings submitted.

Video recording requirements :

Solo performance classical music: piano, strings, wind instruments, plucked instruments, accordeon, percussion, voice.

Solo performance folk/traditional music instruments, jazz (no drums), musical.

Classical Music: Chamber music (from duo to octet with or without piano) and Lied Duo

Classical Music: Chamber music ensembles consisting of two – eight musicians. The instrumental combination is free.

Folk/traditional music, jazz and musical ensembles consisting of two – eight musicians.

The age group for ensembles is determined by the average age of the ensemble members/Lied Duo members.
